"The jHub, within UK MOD’s Strategic Command, is a relatively mature ‘edge’ innovation hub (around 3 years old). We’ve developed and validated our innovation processes over this time, drawing on the wisdom of thought leaders such as Strategyzer.
We are now beyond our ‘start up’ phase, and are going through a twin process of closer alignment with the core business and driving towards a more ambitious transformational agenda. We therefore sought to refresh some of our processes to better suit the more complex problems we are now seeking to tackle - as well as formalise and professionalise our training and upskilling.
The workshop with Strategyzer exceeded our expectations on both counts. We have duly adjusted some of our core processes, adopting the tools that we used during the workshop. There were a great many insights during the two-day workshop, which have sparked further study, creativity and curiosity in the team - it has been an energising and rewarding experience.
Michael was expert at balancing insightful observation and teaching with facilitating hands-on implementation of the tools and techniques. The feedback from the participants has been resoundingly positive.
